Welcome! My name is Steve Wilson My personal blog is called Ra'ah. Ra'ah (raw-aw) means "to see". It can be literal or metaphorical, direct or implied. As simple as "to gaze" or "look intently" or as complex as to be immersed in the experience itself, such as in a "vision". The context in which it is used is almost always indicative of wonder or fascination, awe or admiration. So Ra'ah describes the purpose of my blog. It is my observations, my perceptions of the world around me.

I grew up overseas. My father worked for the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). I lived in Tehran, Iran from 1963 to 1970. I attended the American school there called, Tehran American School or TAS. I guess that makes me a "Third Culture Kid". If you went to TAS or are interested in connecting with someone who did, check out the TASA web site. I also lived in Dacca, Bangladesh although at the time, it was still East Pakistan.

I am a Senior Director of Global Web Communications at McDonald's Corporation where I lead a team of people focused on delivering the various electronic communications platforms for McDonald's around the world. It should be pointed out that as this is my personal blog, the viewpoints and comments presented here are my own and in no way reflect the positions or interests of McDonald's Corporation, its partners, customers or clients.
